About Offmyplate

In my new life as a SAHM, I’ve come to realize that being a teacher is REALLY HARD! I already knew that, but when I realized that my mental and physical health improved AFTER I had my son and took a break from teaching, it surprised me.

Every day, teachers are given more and more to do: meetings, data tracking, assessment creation, lesson planning, grading, tech support, calling parents, implementing new curriculum, standardized testing, unpacking learning targets, professional development…the list never ends. On more than one occasion, I found myself asking administration “what are you taking OFF of my plate, since you are adding XYZ” (after tenure of course).

This is what inspired Offmyplate. I want to take SOMETHING off your plate. I know you are doing a million things and it’s keeping you from being fully present in your classroom or at home. I am offering my passion and experience in education through grading, lesson planning, and design services.
